Description
Leroy B. Pike, a Civil War soldier writes to his cousin Anna Wilcox from Petersburg, Virginia. Leroy writes that he is good spirits and is engaging in building log cabin for camps about five miles from Petersburg. He also writes that he had recently returned from furlough and his family and friends at home were well. Leroy also mentions the Union victory at the Battle of Nashville. Original format: 1 sheet 21 x 26 cm folded to 13 x 21 cm, and 1 envelope, 8 x 14 cm.
