He was discharged from Fort Knox, KY, where he worked on FTA, the newspaper on base. In 1988, he participated with other Vietnam vets going to Nicaragua. He is one of the four G.I. activists profiled in the film No Sir. Prior to this film, he was the co-founder of the San Francisco Bay Area "Vietnam Speakers Alliance" and is a key leader of the San Francisco chapter of Veterans For Peace. He is currently involved in Burning Man as a participant and activist. He lives with his family in the San Francisco Bay Area.]]> Yugen, has taught writing at SUNY Purchase, Penn State, and the University of Wyoming, and is one of the faculty members in the graduate program for creative writing at The New School in New York City. She has been chair of a plethora of writing programs and has received grants to start a writing program in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
