University Professor Steven Diner is a Harpur College alumn who went on to work as a Professor of History at George Mason University and served as Chancellor from 2002 - 2011 at Rutgers University- Newark. As a History Professor at Rutgers, Dr. Diner specializes in immigration reform. In 2011 Diner was the inaugural recipient of an award named in his honor by the Rutgers Institute for Ethical Leadership for demonstrating a long-term commitment to 'strengthening civil society through ethical leadership.' Dr. Diner has published two books and numerous articles on higher education and public policy.

A Harpur alumn, Dr. Fisher completed his Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine and his Master of Public Health at Chapel Hill. A Harpur alumn, Dr. Fisher completed his Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine and his Master of Public Health at Chapel Hill. Dr. Fisher spent the majority of his career as a Professor, educating future doctors and scientists. He came to direct departments in both vascular biology and cardiovascular medicine.

In 2019, Binghamton University Libraries completed a mission to collect oral interviews from 1960s alumni as a means to preserve memories of campus life. The resulting 47 tales are a retrospective of social, professional and personal experiences with the commonality of Harpur College. Some stories tell of humble beginnings, others discuss the formation of friendships; each provides insight into a moment in our community's rich history.

Jerry Raik is director of the Havurah School at Ansche Chesed on the upper west side of Manhattan. At Havurah, elementary school students learn a wide variety of Jewish subjects, primarily through the arts. Before that, Jerry had "the opportunity and good fortune to 'stay home' and be a significant daytime caregiver to each of his three children.<br /><br /><span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"A Harpur collecge alumn, Dr. Barrie Raik went on to become a physician. She studied at The New York School of medicine and was emplyed at the Weil College of Medicine through Cornell University as well as Columbia- Presbyterian Med.
