William S. Pike, a Civil War soldier writes a brief letter to his Cousin Annie Wilcox from the Washington Street Hospital, Alexandria, Virginia. William reports that he went before the Board of Doctors and will be discharged soon. He writes that he will return to his home in Niagara County. Original format:1 sheet, 19 x 22 cm folded to 11 x 19 cm, and 1 envelope, 7 x 12 cm.
