Description
Leroy B. Pike, a Civil War soldier writes to his cousin Anna Wilcox from the front lines at Petersburg, Virginia. He writes of the shooting, shellings, and watching men getting injured and killed. Leroy mentions William Pike, who is recovering at the hospital in Alexandria after being wounded at the battle of Cold Harbor. Original format: 1 sheet, 20 x 26 cm.
