Dr. Jonah Raskin is a scholar and author. Dr. Raskin gave up his teaching position at a university in order to participate in the 1970s radical counterculture movement as a freelance journalist. Raskin returned to academics in 1981 and taught media law, history of communications, film noir, and writing for newspapers, magazines, radio, and movies. He received his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in American Literature from Columbia University. Raskin received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester with a dissertation on the mythology of imperialism.
