She was active in many radical movements and she lived as a fugitive for several years. She was eventually caught and sentenced to 58 years in prison. While in prison, she became a poet, author and AIDS activist. After her release, she continued her work as an anti-prison activist and taught literature at various colleges. Rosenburg attended the progressive Walden School and later went to Barnard College.]]></dcterms:description>
