Dr. Anderson received numerous awards and recognition, including the consultant for the White House, United States Congress, and the National Academy of Science.  In 2002, he was awarded the Stockholm Prize in Criminology. Previous to his tenure at Yale University, he was a Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania.
