Lecture presented on March 21, 1967, Harpur College. Peter Yates, together with Frances Mullen Yates, founded the Evenings on the Roof chamber concerts at their home in Los Angeles. He is the author of many magazine articles and two books, An Amateur at the Keyboard (1963) and Twentieth Century Music (1976)--program notes.
